Hello there unboxers! This is Sakis Karpas from GameOver.gr in another episode of Unboxholics.
Today we will take a look at HTC One, one of the best and most popular smartphones available now.
This is the Stealth Black Edition. At the end of the video, we made a comparison between the Glacial Silver version of HTC One and the black one so you can decide which one you like the most.
As usual, on the back side we find some technical information regarding the product. HTC is really improving in product packaging as you can see.
The first item we found inside was HTC One. We'll leave it aside for now so you can see what else is included inside.
1. Several manuals
2. An A/C Charger
3. A USB cable
4. An in-ear headset
5. Replacement parts for the in-ear headset
6. A sim card pin removal
It's time to take a look at HTC One!
HTC One is one of the highest quality smartphones we'ever touched due to its robust and compact design.
HTC One felt quite slippery in our hands due to its matte surface. That is probably our only complaint regarding the design.
On the front top side of the phone we find a 2.1MP camera, two sensors and a speaker.
An HTC logo, two touch buttons and another speaker can be found on the bottom front side of the phone.
A micro USB port and a microphone are located on the bottom side of the phone.
An micro card slot is located on the left side of the phone while a 3.5mm headphones port and an on/off button can be found on the top side.
Left out alone on the right side is the volume button.
A 4MP camera, a LED flash, and a noise cancellation microphone are located on the back side of HTC One.
Also, a notification LED is hidden inside the top front speaker of the phone.
Let's take a look at the dimensions of the phone!
Display: 4.7 inches
Height: 137,4mm
Width: 68,2mm
Thickness: 9,3mm
Weight: 143g
But what about HTC One's specs? Let's see!
CPU: Quad-Core 1.7GHZ
RAM: 2GB
Storage: 32/64GB
Display: Super LC3 1920 X 1080 with a pixel density of 469ppi
Battery: 2300 MaH
HTC One supports all 3G and 4G networks.
HTC One ships with 4.1.2 Android pre-installed.
HTC has promised to update HTC One to Android 4.3.0 soon.
HTC One uses Sense 5 which features "BlinkFeed", a news feed which displays a scrolling grid of news headlines and social network content.
Blinkfeed cannot be removed since it is embedded in the Sense UI.
It is needless to say that HTC One's performance is phenomenal since its technical specs can pretty much reveal that.
When it comes to HTC One's screen, it is by far one of the most vibrant and sharpest screens we've ever seen on a smartphone.
But what makes HTC One stand out from its competitors is the speakers position and size.
The quality of these two speakers is simply outstanding and the fact that they are located on the front side helps a lot.
As for Beats Audio, it is just a fancy feature since a good audio application is able to accomplish better results.
HTC One delivers amazing sound quality due to the speakers position and size and not because of the Beats Audio technology.
HTC One is the first to feature the HTC UltraPixel Camera. HTC promises amazing quality...
...not by increasing the number of megapixels in the camera, but by engineering a more advanced CMOS Sensor, ISP, and optical lens system that captures significantly more light than most 8 or 13 megapixel cameras.
That is why HTC One does not necessarily needs the flash turned on in low-light situations.
The only problem here is the purple shadows on the left and right side of each image.
HTC One was released 7 weeks ago in Greece and it costs €729.
There is nothing more to add regarding HTC One. In our book, HTC One is the best smartphone we've unboxed up until now.
As we promised, here is a quick look comparison between the white and black version of HTC One.
Recently, we celebrated our 1st year anniversary on YouTube. That is why we're having a huge giveaway. Check out the description for more.
